I have been on my weight loss diet and excersise program, and basically my body takes in very few sugars/carbohydrates. I excersise every day for about 90 minutes of running and jogging. I have been very successful. I've lost about 20 lbs of body fat up till now I'd say.

However, my concern is that since I have eliminated sugars from my diet, that my blood chemistry has caused these times of lightheadedness.

Am I right or wrong, or is weight loss causing lightheadedness.

It is not like I feel lightheaded 24/7 it is more like whenever I get up from sitting, whenever I am done with my daily excersise, or whenever I take in a deep breath, or stretching my body.

So, can anyone help?
Also, I am eating, I don't starve myself, I generally eat lots of protein rich foods, and foods with good fats and fibers. I just tend to stay away from refined carbohydrates, and I limit my unrefined carbohydrates.

It sounds like you are doing the right thing regarding your diet. You may want to make sure you are hydrated. Being dehydrated will cause you to be lightheaded more so than not having sugar. If you truly thing it is the lack of sugar then eat natural sugars like raw fruits. Sugar in any other form is bad for your system and will not bring anything good to the table regarding health. Make sure you are consuming enough protein, vitamin rich veggies and drink lots of water (lack of B vitamins can cause problems as well).

On a little different level, you may want to rule out a sinus infection or inner ear blockage and/or infection. These will also cause lightheadedness. If this is the case, then drinking plenty of sugar free warm liquids (like tea) can help drainage and hydrate you as well. Even if you do not have an infection if you suffer from allergies at all this can cause you to become dizzy and lightheaded easily. You could also have a food allergy. Chart what you eat and see if it occurs in conjunction to a particular food.

Above all, make sure you are properly hydrated. The best way to do this is to drink water. Also, when going from sitting to standing or laying positions to sitting make sure you do so slowly and allow your sense of balance to adjust to the change in posture.
