I noticed yesterday that someone I knew had really bad breath and its got me a bit worried about it. Is it only garlic and onions that cause it or is there other stuff as well? how much garlic or onion does it take to cause it and is there a way to make it nicer?
It is from bacteria in the mouth or from acid reflux from the stomach.
Brushing the teeth and/or getting help from a doctor for the acid issues are the cures.

Bacteria forms on the tongue. If you're worried, sitck your tongue out in the mirror and see if it's yellow. If so, mouthwash is in order! Also, brush your tongue when you brush your teeth.

well anything you eat leaves an oder in your mouth the smell depends on the food…i think one peice of gralic or onion would make anyones breath smell bad….ummm usually i use toothpaste or a breathmint…what else would you use to make your breath smell nicer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a person can have bad breath even after brushing their teeth and tongue. so suggesting someone brush their teeth wont solve the problem in some cases. i suggest going to a dentist find make sure it's not a serious health problem.
