after they gave me a breathing treatment i went home and had really bad burning in my throat i’m 17 weeks and afraid to eat anything now because it was scary, i had gotten it occasionally before pregnancy but nothing this bad ! they prescribed zantac and an albuteral inhaler
has anyone gone through this before ?

GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease) is common in pregnancy. Stomach acid is getting up into your esophagus and causing burning. Zantac is a drug that blocks the production of stomach acid to prevent reflux and heartburn. Help the situation out by:
Gravity- keeps acid down. Sleep with extra pillows or even prop the top of your bed up a few inches with a wooden block. Stay upright (sitting/ standing) a few hours after eating.
Don’t eat close to bedtime
Don’t eat spicy, acidic foods
