I am like you, bad breath. Only gum helps, but who wants to chew that all day? NOT ME! So, I got this mouthwash from Listerine. It's called Listering Whitening Pre-Brush Mouthwash, and I have to say, satisfied is an understatement. This works. Use it before you brush your teeth, not after! Because the taste, is terrible. So, use it then brush your teeth. Then, literally 5 minutes later you do NOT have any bad breath. Actually, your breath wont smell at all. And after you eat, it STILL works to cure your bad breath. I have to say, I am extremely satisfied and something that actually worked the WHOLE DAY!!! Trust me folks, you wont be disappointed!!

Make sure you floss regularly and I don't mean regular as in once a week. It should be once or twice a day. Those plastic flossers help because they make it more convenient and it does feel really good to have all that crud out of your teeth and you don't have to dread wrapping the string floss around your fingers. You will be surprised how much that helps.

Also, brush your teeth at least twice a day, morning and night, and maybe once during the day as well as using mouthwash regularly. It's not free but it doesn't cost a fortune either. After a couple of days you will be surprised how much that does for getting rid of bad breath.

I would also cut down on sweets and carbonated beverages. That can affect the bacteria growth in your mouth as well as cause tooth decay.

hate to tell you, it's not curable. you need to clean your teeth by the dentist every 6 months. you need to brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day if not after every meal. brush your tongue too.

drink lots of water everyday and stop drinking coffee, stop smoking and cut down on your carbs, no fried food too and go to bed early.

okay first of all i have horrible allergy’s and it always clogs up my nose… and i get these yellow weird powder like substances on my tongue (i think this is what causes bad breath cause it smells awful) i brush my teeth every night and morning, use Listerine but i still cant get that yellow powder like substance PLZ HELP!!!!!!

i also suggest a tongue scraper. And lemon drops help for bad breath. hope that helps.

i've heard that rincing with peroxide can help but it sounds a bit scary! where would you get it anyway and should you dilute it?
same with baking powder – is it like a teaspoon to a cup or what?
i no mints/gum and stuff can mask the smell but any tips for actual cures?
also what causes it? ive heard that meat can agrevate (spelling i know!) it but im veggie
